James L. Paterno, founder of Stockton Real Estate Advisors, LLC recently announced the appointment of Mr. Edward O’Brien as Director of Corporate Advisory Services to expand the firm’s tenant representation and “workplace of the future” initiatives.

Prior to joining Stockton, Ed spent three years as Chief Real Estate Officer at Benjamin’s Desk, a Philadelphia based coworking company. During his tenure at Benjamin’s Desk, Ed crafted innovative office leases at buildings including The Curtis Center, 1608 Walnut, and University 2.0, allowing Benjamin’s Desk to grow from one 6,200 SF location to 7 commercial locations totaling in excess of 73,000 SF.

Mr. O’Brien’s career is highlighted by positions such as manager of the DuPont Company’s Corporate Real Estate Division, co-founder of Jackson-Cross Corporate Real Estate Services, Senior Managing Director of Julien J. Studley, co-founder and President of Staubach Company of Pennsylvania, and Partner at McConnell Johnson Real Estate & Sun Energy Partners, LLC. In these positions, Ed represented firms in more than 12.5 million SF of office and industrial space. He has also performed six corporate strategic plans and has been lead or co-lead broker on a dozen major corporate headquarters assignments. Ed has experience developing metrics and models to assist companies in evaluating innovation spaces and distributed work force programs.

Mr. O’Brien holds an undergraduate degree from Villanova University and an MBA from Widener University.
